On the whole, I think I’d prefer that postings be relevant to the intended purpose of the group. Besides, I don’t understand what you mean by "session kill." Don — In the United States there is more space where nobody is than where anybody is. This is what makes America what it is.

The traffic here has been great..it’s very gratifying..almost 400 posts in a very short period of time! That being said, however, I must also point out that a lot of these posts are pretty far off the path…guys this isn’t alt.angst, alt.pychoanalysis, or alt.music-censorship. This group is a place for the parents of teens to have meaningful dialogue about the issues associated with parenting teens in today’s society. When the group started, several teens posted asking if there was also room for them to adddress these issues from their perspective, and I think without exception folks were enthusiastic about the idea. But there has been a great deal of digression. If there is a need for a place for teens to talk together about their school experiences, or a place for folks to debate the relative merits of nature v. nurture, or various thoughts in analytical psychology..great..someone please start those groups. But please, try to aim your postings here towards the goals of this group. Some of the recent postings are close..so perhaps just writing about the same topic with a more relevant perspective, for example: "Sometimes teens can be depressed for a variety of reasons outside the home..and here are some things that parents might consider as extrinsic factors, and here are some ways to handle the situation…" There are also already some groups in place for some of these topics…alt.kids-talk (for teens talking to teens), alt.support (for a supportive group for working out your angst/depression/coping problems), alt.society.civil-liberties for issues about music censorship, etc etc. Annie — -=-=-=- LOOKING FOR: Sumi Furiya, Linda Dalgard and Lorna Taylor -=-=-=- I am: Anne Mitchell, mom, 3rd-year law student, transplanted East-coaster, and founder of FREE, the Fathers Rights and Equality Exchange. This is a very useful method, but I would like to point out (as I’ve get changed often enough in this group. I don’t dare kill subjects yet, because there are a lot of very interesting splinter discussions. — | Drew Lawson | If you’re not part of the solution, |
