It’s certainly a common mistake and one that I’ve made enough times myself and also later regretted. Hey, it’s given me new insight to just how hard it can be and how much we’re really asking of our children when we hand out the age old advice: "Just ignore them and they’ll go away." Boy, you are surely right there. Imagine how hard a pill that must be for our kids to swallow! I will think alittle harder before I say that line again.( for I have said it often!) So? I take it that this Mother Hickey/Henrietta/penicillin IS someone to ignore? Lizzanne

My opinion is yes, she is definitely someone to ignore but there are others who don’t feel that way and keep responding to her. We all have buttons that can be pushed – she doesn’t push mine but then, sometimes the fact that people keep responding to her can push my buttons so when I’m thinking "Geez, why can’t they just ignore her??", I try to stop myself and remember that we all have our buttons. HI! I have come here to this newsgroup to read and learn about parenting solutions! I am sure that many others of you have as well! I have not come here to be preached to , or to be hated! I made the mistake earlier today of responding to a few posts from Henrietta (notice the Mother is gone), and i regret it, for I know that if we keep posting in response to her posts, she’ll keep on responding. Anyways I love coming here to read about and get different ideas from others regarding parenting. Thanks! Jennifer
