My carrier does not have this NG and I would really like to access it. I have heard that all you need to do is ask your carrier to pick it up, but how do I do that? Michelle

Hi Michelle
(you must be a fellow Austinite!)
I think you should be The may not work since you’re dealing with the university. If it doesn’t, The NG doesn’t have many posters yet…despite the seemingly large body of interest. Cathy — No-spam address in header: for personal response, please mail to:

I don’t know about that. I DO know that if search for a newsgroup by topic, AOL censors the list I get back. I can type the name of an unlisted group (if I am positive of the spelling) and I am subscribed to the group. – Ron Low Levity is the dearth of gravity. Brevity is the height of clarity.

that’s precisely why i’m interested. When i have a question about parenting, i want to ask ppl who have similar philosophies to my own. There is such a diversity of parenting styles on this group…it makes for good debate, but not always solid advice when someone’s really having a problem. and there is a lot of flaming when there differing mindsets don’t see eye-to-eye (this means most issues). Thanks for replying

you’re reader should show all the newsgroups your server provides access to. If you don’t see it, you need to mail your postmaster and request it’s addition to their line-up.
good luck Cathy

======= I wonder if it is possible to inhabit a ng wherein all have the same philosophy? At a basic level, attachment will attract two opposites, those who believe in it and those who don’t. AlanC+
