anyone ever used "robi-comb"?

Question:

Don’t even bother with the "robi-comb" if you have thick hair. My girls keep catching nits and the best thing to do is run a normal nit comb through their hair each day.

Oohhhhhhh, I had not thought of such a thing.  I do have some lavendar.  Granddaughter’s hair was tangled the other night &, since it has been years since using a vinegar rinse, it didn’t cross my mind at the time.  This thread has refreshed my memory.  Thanks for the tip, Kitten. Judy

Have you tried putting essential oils in the vinegar rinse?  If you put a few drops of lavendar, a few drops of rosemary, and a few drops of whatever else you like, you’ll smell like potpouri. — Kitten = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = I’m a bitch, I’m a lover; I’m a child, I’m a mother I’m a sinner, I’m a saint; I do not feel ashamed I’m your hell, I’m you dream; I’m nothing in between You know you wouldn’t want it any other way                                                                       – – - Meredith Brooks

A vinegar hair rinse also makes the hair really soft.  Only thing, after rinsing my hair I’d get this craving for a salad! Judy

Can’t remember if it was this group or another of the parenting groups I read, but yes, I’ve read regulars posting that it works very well.  I recommend a cider vinegar hair rinse to prevent re-infestations.

Hi again…I was just wondering if anyone of you parents have ever battled head lice, and if so, have any of you heard of, or better yet, used the product called a "robi-comb"? It’s a small electronic device that runs on one AA battery, and zaps live lice when it comes in contact with them, supposedly. I just received mine tonight, since I figured that with the amount of money we have already spent on poisonous lice remedies this year, this thing should pay for itself by the end of next school year for sure. The problem is, I don’t know if it really works or not. I have several questions, but I’ll wait to see first if any of you have ever used it, or know about it. Thanks!
