I think it just might be a phase they are going through. My two year old says the same thing to anybody when he’s upset. julie

Most children go through phases of rejecting each parent in turn. Sometimes it can be resolved by spending more time alone with them. Perhaps your partner might like to go out on evening a week and leave you to do the childcare? That usually helps. — Jane Lumley

I suppose what you are looking for, is the comforting releaf that your child really loves you. And it does – The phase of the child is to set it
