In an autobiography by George Washington Carver, or Booker T. Washington(I can’t remember which} a description is given of the means by which Black preachers get ‘the call.’  During church services they fall on the floor in a fit and begin babbling, which is considered ‘talking in tongues.’  They are then presumed to have been chosen by the Lord for the ministry. Anyway, a black man, alone, hoeing cotton, at midday in summer heat well over 100 degrees farenheit, wiped his brow, looked up at the sky and said, "Lord, I think I just got the call."

Excuse me, but I really don’t think you should be posting this stuff in public.  Speaking in tongues is a divine grace and should not be discussed with the masses.  Remember what Jesus said about casting pearls before swine. Furthermore, you failed to mention that speaking in tongues is a gift from God.  You don’t choose it yourself.  God chooses who He is going to bestow this gift upon via His Holy Spirit.  And this is not given to just anybody. You have to be an exceedingly decent and moral person of exceptional standing, highly advanced spiritually.  For instance my mother and my aunt have received the gift.  I haven’t yet, but I’m sure I will by the time I’m my mom’s age. It’s not something that is given to just anybody.  For instance it’s not given to men who have not been circumcised, or who are indecent in their character and in their thoughts and actions.  Women who are not virgins (unless married of course) will not receive it, and even those who are married if they are promiscuous or frivolous or indecent they still won’t receive it. So please don’t be displaying this kind of thing in public.  People will get the wrong ideas.

In an autobiography by George Washington Carver, or Booker T. Washington(I can’t remember which} a description is given of the means by which Black preachers get ‘the call.’  During church services they fall on the floor in a fit and begin babbling, which is considered ‘talking in tongues.’  They are then presumed to have been chosen by the Lord for the ministry. Anyway, a black man, alone, hoeing cotton, at midday in summer heat well over 100 degrees farenheit, wiped his brow, looked up at the sky and said, "Lord, I think I just got the call."
