Question:
You should have her checked by a doctor because sometimes when a child who has been dry goes back to wetting it is because of a bladder infection that needs treatment. Otherwise it is likely to be because of some stress in her life – eg are you pregnant or have you a new baby ( that is one of the biggest stresses for children) or has there been other recent change that she is struggling to cope with? If you can reduce the stress and forget about the wetting she will probably come good. Have a look at www.cyh.sa.gov.au – there is information about toilet training in the parenting and child health section. Good luck with it. pam
Response:
My two year old daughter has been out of diapers for approx. 6 months. The problem rose when about two weeks when she had a accident and wet her pants. I thought this to be really unusual as she has been really good up until now, I put this incident aside as one of those rare occasions but the next day it happened again. This has continued every day until yesterday I was out of my wits end when she wet her pants all day!!!. Today is the same. I have just given her a lecture about going back to wearing diapers again. I didn’t want to put her back in diapers because I feel like we’re going backward in her toilet training. Help, I need suggestions!!! Twink
