Iris: I gave up misc.kids pretty quick. Sometimes the n.g.s that have a lot of people posting seem to get somewhat out of control. I really like this n.g., have subscribed for a few weeks and most posters seem courteous and supportive. Welcome! l.f.

I just found this newsgroup (alt.parenting.solutions). I had been a reader and occassional poster on misc.kids but was getting discouraged because whenever I posted either I got flamed by someone who disagreed with me or a flame war erupted over something someone else said. And those are just my posts. I’ve noticed this pattern with almost every post on the n.g. Does a.p.s. have this many problems? I hope not. It seems like a different group of people. In truth, the number of guilty flamers at. m.k. are small, but they do their damage nonetheless. I do not see their names posted here so I’m hoping they confine their antics to m.k. No flames to this message please–I’m a little gun shy right now! Iris — "My Favorite Teams are the Oregon Ducks and whoever is playing the Huskies!"
