Question:
We have 4 month old boy-girl twins. The girl is sleeping from about 9:00 pm thru till 6:30 am without waking. The boy goes to bed about the same time but wakes up several times thru the night. (12:30, 1:30 , 3:00, 4:00 etc). To get him back to sleep, we give him his soother and that seems to work. Sometimes we have to take him into bed with us. We never have to give him a bottle thru the night. We would like to get him to sleep thru the night. Any suggestions? I am afraid that if I let him cry for a while (to see if he will go back to sleep) he will wake his sister. Separate rooms? signed , Sleepless in St. Marys… .
Response:
Congrats on the twins! My b/g twins are almost 6yo now. You might want to look at alt.parenting.twins-triplets. Lots of people with multiples have similiar problems. Is your son currently waking your daughter up? You don’t really say, but I’m assumming she doesn’t since you don’t say so. I’d probably go ahead and let him cry for awhile to see if he can comfort himself back to sleep. If they’ve been sharing a room for the last 4 months, she probably won’t wake up (or if she does, probably will just roll over and go back to sleep). Good luck.
