New baby – so much to learn!

Question:

>My wife thought it was a funny site to see >me cupping a handful of yellowish gritty poop.  It was a special moment. =) >Thanks for the welcome back. >>J. B. Chamberlin

I recall a good laugh I had watching DH changing a particularly nasty diaper … He somehow got poop EVERYWHERE (his shirt, his pants, the coffee table the carpet)… and was asking me to help … unfortunately, I was incapacitated with laughter … the kind that brings tears … and couldn’t help him much. Wonderful news!!!!  Congrats!!  I am so glad to hear things went well.  Hope Mom and Harrison continue to do well. The group is still the group.  But I hope you are able to find some good support here.  You were always very honest that parenting was something you were gearing up for.  I hope it is as wonderful for you as you thought it would be. **HUGS** to all! Welcome back!  I stopped reading for a while too … but pop in every few days now to see what’s up.  There do seem to be more OT threads then ON topic ones sometimes.   So slip back into your thick skin, grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair and settle in!  OH yeah … keep your hands and feet inside the car at all times, and ENJOY THE RIDE! I think I’m getting the hang of it.  It’s only been 3 days and I’ve been peed on, pooped on, and spit up on.  There was a time in my life that I was repulsed by such thoughts. Now I just laugh.  My wife thought it was a funny site to see me cupping a handful of yellowish gritty poop.  It was a special moment. =) Thanks for the welcome back. J. B. Chamberlin ICQ # 1269371

Welcome Harrison Ryan to the world. He’s a big boy already..  <g> >I’m sure I’ll be around asking many questions.  Thanks for the patience. =) >J. B. Chamberlin >ICQ # 1269371

Brian, the one thing I admire about your posts here is that you have always understood that you were coming into this new and had a lot to learn.  But don’t denigrate your own already truthful knowledge of the world.. Your view will change, but you are coming from a place of love for your child and that is a very good thing, imho Dorothy There is no sound, no cry in all the world that can be heard unless someone listens .. source unknown
