Well, ya, I never thought that they would care before, but as I found out when I posted a message months back about something I was selling, they DO care and in a big way when someone violate’s the ISP’s regulations regarding usenet policies. Guys, come on.  We all know what Steve does and some of us know what he doesn’t do.  He doesn’t go after people privately, that his not his gig.  I have had several ‘private’ conversations with the man and these accusations just don’t fit.  He got under their skin and they privately retaliated, so he wrote ‘em back and told ‘em to fuck off…..so what is the big deal here? While I agree with you about an ISP’s TOS, it really does make sense that your wife needs to learn to ignore certain people.  She doesn’t know Steve from Adam, so why should what he says bother her?  She can easily killfile him so none of his messages will show up.  I don’t always agree with what Steve says, and I definitely don’t agree with his language, but for anyone to become so terribly offended by a stranger in cyberspace tells me they’re too sensitive.  If Steve is sending you private E-mails, THAT is another animal altogether.  He shouldn’t be doing that at all.

Our company has WAAAY too many DSL lines which we use for Net access, however, so it is EXCEEDINGLY unlikely PacBell is at all interested in all that rain of heavy shit if they pull that kind of crap.
