Teaching Children Parenting Skills

Question:

     The results of scientific investigations must be replicated by other scientists before they are generally accepted by the scientific community.  One particular experiment has been conducted and replicated every day of every year since man has walked the earth.  These experiments have not been conducted by scientists in a laboratory on rats and mice, but by parents all over the planet on their own children.  The experiment involves the raising children.  Generation after generation after generation have experimented with parenting.  Permissive parenting, authoritarian parenting, authoritative parenting.  Most parents who care for their children practice one of these styles.  Then there are the criminal parents. Those that neglect and/or abuse their children.  Each generation experiments with these styles and aberrations of parenting and each generation learns that one and only one, authoritative parenting, enables children to live up to their potential.  Whether they do or not is left to genetics and chance, not to the emotional baggage they carry as a result of poor parenting.        It
