Question:
OK this takes care of the question I posted myself about 10 minutes ago about this woman. I read your message in it’s entireity, Toto, and I guess now I can see why she would be labelled a troll. Posting such obviously hateful and inflammatory messages to newsgroups for the sole purpose of angering those who will read them and inspire a lot of hate mail in return, is something that only a troll would do. And, Mother Keesha/ Grandmother Hickey, or whatever you call yourself today, if you are reading this, please realize that although I respect and admire your desire to turn people over to Christ, I need to tell you that you are going about it entirely the wrong way, and you are giving Christianity a bad name with your obvious prejudiced and warped views. I also read your website and found a lot of good on it, even though I disagreed with much of what you had written. You need to find a new forum for your "evangelical" mission!! …Charlene

Please don’t read this if you don’t want to read about Christianity, anyone! (My own warning) And also, note the added "U’s" in the words humoUurously and savioUr" Us Canadians write them words like that, eh. I, for one, fully and completely understand the point that you so humourously made in your post, "J.M"….I just felt that I had to clarify what I’ve learned in the relatively short time since I re-committed my life to Christ; it’s that that all the things you spoke about were laws that were set in place during the time of the Old Testament. That is, before the coming of the saviour Jesus Christ, who was God’s son (therefore, half God-half man if you will) who took it upon Himself to die for our sins so that we would no longer be bound by laws such as those. The day that He died, a new covenant was forged making us free NOT to sin, but free as in we are no longer bound by earthly laws and by the power of Satan. I hope that makes sense!

You took that quote from the BIBLE, Keesha. It’s regarding people taking parts out of the BIBLE. I snipped your NEWSGROUP POST. There is a slight difference!! I won’t even touch this one, as I think it is only your way of trying to engage me into a war about my beliefs on corporal punishment, which are vastly different from yours. > What I meant was that I didn’t agree with many of your views and beliefs, > especially about child rearing, but to each his own. Point well taken. > because *personally* I don’t think that the "spare the rod, spoil the
child" > quote was referring to literally spanking with an implement. > Well, Proverbs 23:13-14 say, "Withhold not correction from the child: > for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt > beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell."
Yes, Ok, but the bible also says, "…This is my body, which shall be given up for you" (when Jesus was holding a piece of bread) and "If you eat of this bread and drink of this cup, you shall live forever" and you and I both know that Jesus wasn’t asking us all to be cannibals. It also states in the old testament that women should not allow their heads to be uncovered and men should not shave their body hair. The old testament is full of rules and laws that changed after the new covenant that was forged when Jesus died on the cross and set us free from laws such as these. I could give you atleast 200 other examples, but I don’t think I need to. > So much from the bible is taken far too literally, causing strife and > discontent amongst Christians today, and that’s too bad. > Why do you think the Bible suppose to be symbolic or something?
No, not at all. I hope I wasn’t misunderstood there. We can believe to be true that which was inspired by God in his word, and that is everything that the bible says. The only problem is that we all have to read the WHOLE word and not just part of it in order to understand what God is really telling us. So many people today get caught up on individual WORDS and not the entire passage or even chapter of the bible, so this is where misinterpretation comes in. I bet if you read the whole chapter before AND after the aforementioned quote, you could come up with an entirely different meaning to it, provided you are reading it with the right attitude and not mearly to "prove" something. >We don’t whoop our kids with a literal rod. Even sticks and switches > been ruled obsolete. We use a sturdy oak paddle with holes drill in > it to make it more aerodynamically effective. The holes reduce air > resistance and let the holy instrument deliver 40% more punch than > paddles without no holes. We find these very effective in keeping > kids under control.
Fair enough, but with that argument, why *don’t* you use a literal rod? That’s what the bible says, isn’t it? You have to remember that the bible was written several centuries ago and though the underlying messages are the same, the EXACT words may have meant something completely different back then. > Simply because "preaching" over the internet is largely unproductive since I > believe that most people have to see for themselves the kind of life you > lead, and they have to be called by the Holy Spirit through you in order to > be drawn to Christianity. Simply > spouting a bunch of bible verses and telling people that they are "sinners > and will burn in hell" isn’t going to make them want Christ in their lives, > is it? > It work for me.
So this does work for you then? You have won souls over to Christ with your approach? If this is true…Great! More power to you, sister! > Jesus said we got to preach the Gospel to every > living creature.
True. >What better way but over the internet.
What better way? In person. Go on a mission trip to a place that needs His word. Or better yet, go on a mission right in your own city or town. You will surely find more lost souls there than you could ever find on this newsgroup. > No, it’s going to make them say "Hey look, another &^%$ bible > thumping Christ worshipper!" and write you off like yesterday’s news! > Only them that’s under the devil’s influence gonna say that.
And since this world is ruled by the prince of darkness, satan, everyone who isn’t a born again Christian IS under the devil’s influence. So that means that all of the people you are "preaching" to over the internet who are not saved are under his influence. And you and I both know that he is the father of lies and the prince of deception. He blinds the eyes of the non-believers to the truth that is in Jesus Christ. Therefore, they cannot possibly see what you are trying to do and respect it, much less turn over to Christianity as a result of this type of witnessing. > people done say, "Them holy Joes won’t let up a lick but they sure do > believe in what they be preaching. I wonder if what they say be > right. I wonder if it is a hell where I’m a-gonna cook forever if I > don’t come clean real soon. O Lord, please reveal the same truth to > me that you done reveal to these people, you servants."
Again, if true non believers, the ones that so desperately need Jesus in their lives (meaning everyone who doesn’t currently have Him there) are turning over a new leaf as a result of something that you wrote which spoke to them, that is wonderful and you are doing your job as a good and faithful servant. I am wondering something….how is it that you are Jewish yet you believe that Jesus Christ is the messiah? I am not trying to be facecious (SP?) (please correct my spelling if that one is wrong, like I know you will) I am truly interested. So, in other words, you find verses in the Bible, which if applied and modified not only support your doctrine, but justify it. Furthermore, as most people know that most of the Book of Proverbs was written by Solomon to teach young people growing into manhood. Heck, if a person really want to, they could nearly find some verse(s) in the Bible to justify or support their claim. Religious Titles: Jesus forbids anyone from assuming any religious title (leadership, teacher, etc) (Matthew 23:8-10). Women in church: Women are expected to remain silent in church (1 Timothy 2:11-12 and 1 Corinthians 14:34). Do you pray with your head covered or is it shaved as directed by the Bible (1Corinthians 11:5-10)? Seekingrevenge or bearing a grudge: God forbids this agaisnt one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself (Leviticus 19: 18). Mixing woven cloth: Do you wear 2 or more differrent woven materials at one time? God forbids it (Leviticus 19:19).

The original Hebrews of the Bible was Black. They done mix freely with the Black Egyptians throughout the Book of Genesis. Later, God done smote certain sinners with white skin as a curse for they disobedience. See II KIngs 4:8-37 for details. Gehazi was specifically curse with white skin, which he done pass along to others. > No, I am NOT referring to your own claim. I am looking for proof that > includes Experts, such as the Bible (chapter and verse), URLs > would even be better.
I am a expert. All Black people know Jesus is Black too. The earliest pictures of Jesus portray Him as a Black Man with nappy hair. > First off I thought you were a Messanic Jew? I don’t teach the superiority of the Black race. We all God’s children. However, God done chose the Black people to fulfill a special mission in the world. Messianic Jews basically Christian but we got our own denomination. We don’t put Jesus on a equal footing with God the Father, but we do accept Him as our Messiah. > True you preach the True and Full Gospel as defined by your prejudice and > your church.
What prejudice? Why do it bother you so much to accept that Blacks was God’s original Chosen People? I didn’t never say He hate white people. God done love all colors equally. It’s plenty of white people that been chosen over the millenniums for this or that special mission. Look at the Apostle Paul. Look at Billy Graham. Look at Dr. Laura Schlessinger. > Does that include using ethnic/racial slurs? Does that include stereotyping > ethnic groups or races?
No, and I don’t never do neither of them things. I love all people equally. I’m just tired of being treated like a second-class citizen just cause I’m Black. I’m tired of seeing my poor Bruthaz and Sistaz being exploited by rich white hogs that live in castles in Hollywood. Yes, I am critical of them that hurt other people, but I offer all of them the same opportunity to repent and make reparations that I do to everybody else. > Yet, at the same time overlooking your own sins.

Well, Proverbs 23:13-14 say, "Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell." That don’t sound like the permissive approach to me. Why do you think the Bible suppose to be symbolic or something? With that argument, you can say that when God said, "Thou shalt not kill," that He meant you could kill if you was really convince that somebody really ought to die. It’s true that God’s Laws often very complicated and cain’t always be applied directly to every situation, but the Bible most rewarding when it be taken as literally as possible. We don’t whoop our kids with a literal rod. Even sticks and switches been ruled obsolete. We use a sturdy oak paddle with holes drill in it to make it more aerodynamically effective. The holes reduce air resistance and let the holy instrument deliver 40% more punch than paddles without no holes. We find these very effective in keeping kids under control. > Simply because "preaching" over the internet is largely unproductive since I > believe that most people have to see for themselves the kind of life you > lead, and they have to be called by the Holy Spirit through you in order to > be drawn to Christianity. It work for me. Jesus said we got to preach the Gospel to every living creature. What better way but over the internet. Here in these parenting and educational newsgroups, I teach wayward parents how to bring up they children right. It’s a shame that so many parents turn they childrearing responsibilities over to nannies, au pair tramps, babysitters, teachers, and enile old grannies that don’t got enough strength to wield no paddle hard enough to keep kids outta trouble. > No, it’s going to make them say "Hey look, another &^%$ bible > thumping Christ worshipper!" and write you off like yesterday’s news!
Only them that’s under the devil’s influence gonna say that. Most people done say, "Them holy Joes won’t let up a lick but they sure do believe in what they be preaching. I wonder if what they say be right. I wonder if it is a hell where I’m a-gonna cook forever if I don’t come clean real soon. Dorothy; Yes, I read your post all the way through, and from what I read it sounded like you (or someone, there were so many names I couldn’t quite keep them straight!) was saying that Max was one of her three or four aliases, so therefore they were actually her viewpoints. Guess I got mixed up. Anyway, I guess I was agreeing with Max, or whoever it was, who said that she was obviously a troll, since she certainly seemed to fit the bill to me anyway. I meant to say that SHE was giving Christianity a bad name, by saying that she belongs to the "one holy church", (a lot of Christians seem to believe that, even though we all believe in the same God and the same Christ, and basically stand for the same things!) by coming off as "holier than thou" which is also a huge turn-off to non-believers, and by displaying her warped views and twisted beliefs and trying to make them come off as biblically sound, which they certainly are NOT. Judgmental, bible thumping, in-your-face-Christians really get my goat simply because they do the opposite of what their intention may be. They rarely draw people to the church, and instead they reinforce a lot of stereotypes that people have about Christianity and Christians in general, and this is sad, IMO. — …Charlene <come visit my website, though it is in desperate need of updating!> http://family.krueger.ws/charlene fulltime stepmom to Kaitlin – 12 Bio mom to Danielle – 8, James – 2, and Courtney – 11 mos.
