We'd never say that…

Question:

>I need some "parenting" lines for a screenplay.

My gram had an odd one:               "If germs were purple, you’d be more careful."    (after kid says "I didn’t _know_ I couldn’t do that.")               "Well, now you know."               "So who ever told you that life would be fair?"       (after kid complains about something’s unfairness, of course.)   The worst:  "sheeeeeeeeeeila, stop whyyyyyyyyning," said in the whiniest       way imaginable.  -Nathan

Dad said to my sisters: "If you crack your knuckles, it’ll make your hands look like *boys’* hands." Dad said to my brother and me: "If you crack your knuckles, it’ll make your hands look like *girls’* hands." I still crack my knuckles. My hands look just like my dad’s. — Jon Michael Grant Learn, teach, laugh
