Use a "twit-filter" or "bozo bin", or something like that. I rarely see anything like that unless someone replies to it.
Response:
You can block these posters. But when people reply to these stupid threads, it makes blocking more difficult for me (Outlook Express). I don’t want to block the people that aren’t sending this but when you respond to it, the post remains on my server and I really hate seeing all that crap. So, as others have said, don’t respond to it. Block it and ignore it. Thanks!! Mary Ellen

The subject of the message adequately describes the content. Why did you read them?
Response:
This is an unmoderated group. Try misc.kids.moderated for less troll traffic. If you want to read posts here, you need to use filters. Deanna

I subscribed to this newsgroup thinking I’d find some good ideas on how I can be a better parent–and I find articles and posts where people use profanities and where they can’t seem to form a sentance without using the word "fag", "faggot", "homo", "gay", or the like. What does a person’s sexual preferance have to do with alt.parenting.solutions and why do we have to be subjected to reading such vulgarities?

This is the unmoderated Usenet, where you can read almost anything anywhere. That’s why. Also you are failing to distinguish between those who use so-called "dirty words" honestly to express an opinion strongly, versus those who are merely kids posting anything and trying to shock someone (LIKE YOU!). In fact, your post here about them simply gives them aid and comfort, so stop it!! Steve
