Writer doing story on equal parenting

Question:

With our first, my husband quit work to stay home and parent.  Our youngest is 27 months, and we share parenting responsibilities relatively equally.  We do work different hours; he’s self-employed and works at home, I teach college classes so our schedule is flexible enough to allow child care to be juggled with work.  Even so, we also have our daughter (13) and his mother assist with childcare to allow us adequate work time. I’m doing a story for Parents magazine on equal parenting and am interested in interviewing couples who have made a conscious decision to equally share childcare and have children under the age of 10. I’m especially interested in parents who work different shifts outside the home and alternate caring for their kids and others who have structured their work lives so they can divide care equally. Please contact me if you are interested in being interviewed. My Thanks, Jennifer Hull
