I am. I was sitting here at work with a little time on my hands and just thought I’d check to see if this discussion thread was still alive. I got sucked back in primarily by Glen’s pseudo-intellectual line of drivel. I would actually be amused by it to some degree I suppose if it were on a less harmless topic. But it’s not. This is a re-post of something I replied to earlier cause i’m still not quite sure how various newsreaders work…. Yes, I see it now. Murder rate has been rising too – it must be that the prison system is failing us! Rape hasn’t been doing much better either. Yes – the solution is:  let’s NOT imprison or punish murderers, rapists, and pedifiles! The situation hasn’t improved significantly so let’s instead all sit around and sing "Kumbaya" because WE KNOW that will change them! Glen will tell you of the important research he’s done on the amazing rehabilitative effects of "Kumbaya". How it turns Pedofiles into politicians and murderers into monks… In fact Glen is chief of the "Kumbaya Research Institute" or KRI (pronounced ‘cry’) – and will be addressing the UN council this month on the topic of: rehabilitating Nazi war criminals through concentrated doses of "Kumbaya" Ok. Can we please try to live in reality here? It doesn’t friggn matter whether or not they rehabilitate as long as they are never given the slightest chance to harm people and ruin innocent peoples lives again! That’s what matters. If they can rehabilitate too – grand – just tatoo "molester" on there face and never bring them near my kids. No one is claiming that prison is a way to stop wrong doing – punishment exists as a way to curb it and to bring social structure to our society. Perhaps Glen is an anarchist? Is that it Glen? The problem of murderers, rapists, and pedofiles, is deeply rooted in our society and it does not go away because we imprison them but that doesn’t mean that we STOP punishing them – because that is called ANARCHY! …I’m not under ant delusions that this post is going to accomplish anything really other than fan this fire. It was completely selfish of me really. But I reccomend to anyone in this Newsgroup to not waste your time responding to Glen’s postings as he is really the biggest TROLL here.
